Institute History

2003

Founder Scott Saslow reflects on past experiences at Harvard Business School and in his corporate life at Microsoft and other organizations about the field of executive development. With a burning interest to explore the state of the industry, he commences a comprehensive market study "Transforming Corporate Leadership".

2004

  • March - "Transforming Corporate Leadership", an extensive report on the field of executive development, is published
  • May - Launch follow-on study, "Leadership Development in European Organisations"
  • July - Institute launches website, www.execsight.com, and offers Standard Accounts as a way to connect professionals in the field of executive development
  • September - First Institute Webcast delivered - "Executive Development: Market Overview and Trans-Atlantic Considerations"
  • October - "The Strategic Role of Executive Development" published in Chief Learning Officer Magazine
  • November - First European Client joins Institute, British Petroleum
